Strawberry Hill
Squeezed between Twickenham and Teddington, Strawberry Hill is a small cantered around a small development of shops and Strawberry Hill railway station.
The area is famous for the house; Strawberry Hill, Britain’s finest example of Georgian Gothic Revival architecture and interior decoration developed by Horace Walpole, man of letters and the son of England’s first Prime Minister. The grounds of this ‘little Gothic castle’ are now given over to St Mary’s University College, Twickenham, and the country’s oldest Roman Catholic College, situated on Waldegrave Road
Strawberry Hill has its own local golf club founded in 1900. With a mixture of old properties and modern contemporary designs, it is a highly desirable place to live with good access to London by road and train, as well as to Heathrow Airport.
